College Credit Plus

Area schools allow qualified high school students to take college-level courses in their high school. Students can earn high school and college credit for each completed course.  Guidelines for the program are:

  • Students must meet the college and district requirements for admission to the program.  Each college has certain entrance requirements, such as:  COMPASS scores, ACT or SAT scores or other requirements.  School districts have student guidelines for their College Credit Plus (CCP) program.  Consult your high school counselor for more information.
  • CCP teachers must meet each college requirements to become adjunct professors.
  • CCP courses at the high school use the same textbook, syllabus and course materials as the college course.
  • Collaborative agreements between each college and school district are required.

Consult your local high school for more information about dual enrollment programs.  To learn more about the Stark County areas College Credit Plus programs, contact Tom Nunziato at the Stark County ESC.
